Sunday

This was possibly our last Sunday at our church in Ganado, and it was a sad occasion. We have many friends that we have made at church that have been great support for us through our lives for the past two years. I will miss them all, but never forget the love and friendships that we made here. I am anxious about finding out officially about the house. I will try to post a picture, but I don't know if it will work.

I don't think that it is working, I will have to try again later.

Thursday

I was wrong, I am posting again before we move. Things have gotten mixed up. We will know something for sure on the 17th about when we can move, so until then things are on hold. I am still packing though, I mostly only have our bedroom and bathroom left. At least I am getting it done before the last minute, what a change.
The kids are in Abilene, and I am still missing their beautiful faces. I miss Kole and her stimulating conversation, and wonderful smile. I miss Chad for his unconditional love, and all of his hugs and kisses. They both are growing up into wonderful Christian young people. I believe that my devotion to being a better christian shows through there lives also.
I have a lot on my heart tonight, but this is all I will say for now. God bless you all that read my post!

House

Well, it has been a long two weeks since I last posted. We will be getting the house, but we are still unsure about when we will close. It has been red tape after red tape to get through, and I am still stressed. I am trying to focus now on just getting the house packed up to move. I have a little bit done, but much more to finish. We have almost gotten Chad's room totally packed up, the kids bathroom is packed; I just have to clean it and I will be totally done in there. Breck packed up some of her room while she was home on Friday, but she didn't get anywhere near finished. We have the living room about 50% packed up. I haven't even begun in our room, and the kitchen will be a chore. I do wish that I had started when I said I was going to, and I wouldn't be stressed out about getting it packed. We will be packing up the computer tomorrow, so this will be my last post until we get moved in. I will let you know then how it goes, and put up some pictures.

Wednesday

I am in a great mood tonight because I got to talk to the kids earlier, and tomorrow night's presentation at VBS should be a lot of fun. We are still waiting on news about the house, and you all know how I hate waiting. I know I am driving Preston crazy also because I can't be patient and let everyone do their jobs. I'm so anxious that I am grumpy. I just need to get busy around here, and then I will have less time to worry about things not moving fast enough for me. The thing is, I know God will take care of it all, but I just can't seem to let it go. I keep praying that his will be done, but then I keep stressing about it not getting done. At leaset I know that this is a problem, and I can work on it. I'm just ready to move and get settled, I hate not knowing.
Maybe if I vent here, I will be better about not stressing Preston out.

Slow

Being out of school has really messed me up because I can't keep the days straight. All day I thought that it was Wednesday. I think the main reason I keep messing up is because we started VBS on Sunday night and since we were on the third night I keep thinking it is Wednesday. So, at least it is a great excuse. We are doing a great VBS all based on sports. I think that the kids are liking it because they are coming dressed in their baseball/softball uniforms and they get extra tickets. The refreshments area is the concession stand, and we decorated our rooms like locker rooms. And on Thursday night our last night we are having parents night and we have a former Harlem Globe Trotter who is going to perform and share his testimony with us. We are all really looking forward to Thursday night.
We still haven't heard anything about the house, but we are hoping to know something tomorrow. I will keep updating here.

June 25

Well, time has slipped past and I was doing well there for a few days. We are still looking for a place to live. Preston has signed his contract with Copperas Cove highschool, and I have signed my contract with Gatesville highschool. Hopefully we will know something soon about a house we looked at. It is so exciting.
The kids are still in Abilene, and we are missing them so much. I got to talk to Chad the other day, and I get to talk to them on Wednesday again. Breck will be going to camp on Monday so we will be picking her up on Sunday. I can't wait to see both of the kids.
Preston and I are working VBS this week, so we are keeping busy. We started last night and we will go through Thursday night when we have a former glob trotter coming in to speak and perform for the kids. It should be a great experience for everyone that goes.
I am looking forward to moving, but we have a lot of work to do here. We have the house to pack up and all the expenses of moving that I am not looking forward to.
I will write more when I have more information. Until then, have faith that something better is coming.

June 9th

We went to Gatesville yesterday and I met with the high school principal. Things went really well, he told me depending on my references he will be calling me back on Monday to offer me a contract.
Then we went and looked at houses. We liked one of the houses that we looked at, but it is an older home that will need some work. From carpet to paint, nothing impossible but we aren't sure if we want to have to do all of that work. There is one that we are planning on looking at the next time we go up there.
We are excited about our new possibilities.
Tomorrow Kole and Preston leave for basketball camp at Baylor. Pres will be coaching while Kole is participating. Kole is really excited about going. Then on Thursday we will be going to San Antonio to spend a little time with Grahm before the kids go to their Father's on the 15th. I'm not looking forward to them leaving, but it is important for them to have time with him.

We have been outside a lot playing catch with Chad and bumping the volleyball with Kole. We got some whiffle balls and we all like taking turns hitting and pitching.
Time to go and make some lunch.
