Christmas has come and gone, with many changes. The kids went to visit in Abilene, we spent Christmas day in Corpus, and we have even spent a few days back in the Dallas metroplex with my family. Today we finally made Christmas cookies-- a tradition that we usually do after Thanksgiving. With Grandma Saam passing away, things were rearranged. Mom did make some cookies yesterday, and Holly had made sprits cookies, but we hadn't had the opportunity, until today. Yesterday we had Christmas with Chris, Holly, Wyatt, and Grahm. Chris got up early and made the Saam's waffles... yummy! I have a few pictures that I will upload when I get back home.
While the kids and I were visiting Mesquite, Preston was hard at work, coaching his girls in a tournament. He was also cooking on the new pit that I bought him for Christmas (pictures will soon be posted). Now, I guess that I need to get him an apron and stand back... He will be in charge of the pit and all of the food that comes from it.
